So far I've enjoyed every bottle and can that was delivered to me, the membership exclusive bottles have been delightful and the colorful variety of flavors has definitely expanded my tastes. I feel as though I have gotten my money's worth with this membership.
I purchased the variety set as it came with the phantom of the opera bottle which is what brought me here. I’m actually taking my adult kid who just turned 21 to see Phantom tomorrow night so we brought it with us as a pre-show drink. We have previewed 4/6 bottles and loved them all. I’m a fan of sweet drinks so they all were very good! And the bottles and labels make it that much more fun. We plan on putting twinkle lights in some bottles and drippy candles in others to keep and remember.
I started with Sun, thinking it sounded the least favorite of the four. I was completely delighted with the flavors and this mead is sweet enough to satisfy my palette. Can't wait to try the others. And the bottles themselves are so awesome! I have several ideas how to use them after the mead is gone. Batch Mead has a new life-long customer!
Love the meads, but those hard ciders are amazing as well. Really refreshing on the hot summer days we’ve been having. Ordered a variety of meads for my son for his birthday, just placed a second order weeks later.
I've ordered from Batch Mead a few different times now and have always had a wonderful experience. The meads are shipped with care and if I have any questions about my order they're always so quick to get back to me. And, of course, all of the meads I've tried have been absolutely delicious! I do like that a large order will come with free shipping since it just makes me more mindful to buy in bulk and then savor them over a long period of time. A few times I have gotten an order with what I thought was an incorrect bottle but was actually an upgrade bottle to a higher quality of a mead--it's a wonderful delight and I appreciate it, but my only suggestion would be to make a note on the itemized list that gets shipped just to avoid confusion.
The flavor was so interesting! It has a slightly tangy but bitter aftertaste to it which I think is from the passionfruit; because it isn't too sweet it pairs very nicely with sweet breads and desserts so it's kind of great for having in the evening after a meal. While I'll admit it isn't my favorite from this store, so many of my friends loved it so I still want to give it five stars. For my personal tastes it'd probably be more of a 4 star just because I tend to enjoy sweeter meads. But I am very happy I tried something new because this one is great for summer.
This is one of my favorites that I keep coming back to! I love the flavors--I'm a big berry fan and this one has the right amount of sweetness mixed with the bubbly-ness of the mead that helps it not be too sickeningly sweet for my palette. Pairs really well with a steak and crispy potatoes dinner! Will absolutely be buying more in the future.
Loving them all a little bit, fun to taste the different flavors, haven't tried all in pack yet. It's a nice change with something sweet besides sweet wine, and cider. Definitely will continue to stock my fridge.
The buttery taste threw me off at first but it grew on me. Love it!

From purchase to delivery, everything was smooth and timely. I purchased the Tarot set for my wife and she has tried 3 out of the 4 so far. Each one has been delicious and would buy again. I'm curious to try the many other options available.

What is Mead?
Mead is alcohol made from honey, water & yeast. We focus on small batches with local honey & REAL fruit. We only ferment the honey (not the fruit) to ensure all alcohol is coming from honey.
YES, Vikings did drink mead.
How Do You Drink & Store Mead?
Mead can be enjoyed at 45 degrees (refrigerator temp) or served at room temp when it's not sparkling. You're welcome to mix spirits, ice or mixers - but we prefer it STRAIGHT.
To store your mead, we recommend keeping it in a cool, dry place, like a wine fridge, or a closet, where temperatures don't change and sunlight isn't hitting the bottle. Once opened mead is best enjoyed in 1-3 days, kept in fridge with bottle stopper, otherwise carbonation starts to slip out.
Otherwise like wine, mead can age, although we like to enjoy within a year.
