Shipping FAQs

When will I recieve my order?

Orders take between 5-14 days to arrive once the order is placed. FedEx/UPS only pickup from our facility on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays.

We pack and fulfill orders within 5 days of placing the order. During this time you will receive a notification that your shipping label has been created. Please check spam folders.

Shipping times to the midwest and east coast tend to be longer, with upwards of 8 days once the order is fufilled.

How will my order be shipped?

We use FedEx and UPS to ship our orders across the U.S. Which one depends on your location, the cost and time to recieve order. Shippers vary.

Please remember that once your package is with FedEx/UPS we are not able to change the address or anything about the delivery, it's completely in the shippers control.

How Much does shipping cost?

Shipping alcohol is incredibly expensive. We do our best to eat some of these costs and offer free shipping. Even though we offer "free shipping" we are still paying FedEx/UPS.

Orders cost $25-$85 to ship on the contintental US per package. Even when we offer "free shipping", we're still paying for this cost. Shipping sadly, is not free.

If you are not home during the delivery attempts, FedEx/UPS charge us an additional $30-$40 to return the package. It's important that you are home during delivery or you change your address to a FedEx/UPS store via the shipper websites.  

CAN I CHANGE MY Shipping Address?

You can likely change your address if your order has not shipped yet. Just send us an email at leigh@batchmead.com, please include your order number, your name and your requested address.

If your order has already shipped, you may not be able be able to change it. To try to change your address you need to go to your tracking link and click "manage my delivery"/"change my delivery". You will need to set up a free account with the shipper and set a preferred store. If you have any issues you can call customer service for FedEx/UPS.

Does someone 21+ need to sign for my order?

Yes! Someone 21+ MUST be available to sign for the package as required by federal law. If no one is available to sign and your order gets shipped back to Batch Mead, you will be refunded minus the cost of shipping.

Can I ship to A BUsiness Address?

Yes! Someone 21+ MUST be available to sign for the package as required by federal law. If that is easier at a business, then go for it!

Can I ship to a P.O. Box?

Unfortunately, no. USPS does not allow alcohol to be shipped or received, and will not receive a package from another carrier, like UPS or FedEx, to your P.O. Box. We recommend changing your delivery address to a FedEx or UPS store, if you cannot receive at home or at an alternative business address.

Can I pickup my order?

Yes! Just choose PICKUP at checkout. You may pick up your order after you place it any time during our open hours. Batch Mead is open 3-8p Thurs, Fri, Sat and 12-5p on Sundays. More info about our tasting room.

Can I ship my order to a FedEx or UPS store?

Yes! The easiest way to do this is to use a FedEx/UPS Store address at checkout. YOU MUST set up a free shipping management account with FedEx/UPS first and set your preferred store, otherwise they will reject the shipment.

Am I able to request a specific delivery date, day of week or time window?

No, we cannot specify delivery times. You will receive a shipment confirmation email when your meads are shipped which will include a tracking link to stay up to date on estimated arrivals.

Do you ship to Alaska or Hawaii?

Yes, we do! Although it's incredibly expensive, so there is a $75 shipping fee for all orders. We're not able to offer free shipping at this time for orders to Alaska & Hawaii.

Do you ship internationally?

Not yet!

What to do when I recieve my glorious meads?

Get ready to enjoy! We recommend chilling for 2 hours in the fridge before enjoying! Mead is like wine and only gets better with age.
