from 236 reviewsOne of the best meads I have had in a long time. Little on the sweet side

I'm fairly new to mead, but I feel as if I know them. This bottle is beautiful to look at, and even better to pour! It smelled wonderful, and the golden nectar that poured into the glass fizzed with tantalizing bubbles.
Tasted like butterscotch, buttery bliss! The honey aftertaste came in beautifully. The honey notes were the part of the honey flavor I love best. Finished it perfectly.

A fantastic mead. The prickly pear is immediately noticeable on the nose and the guava on the tongue. Then they trade places and make the wildflower honey come through in the end.
There's an aftertaste to it that I can't place; semi-savory, but I personally can't name it. It is, however, incredibly delicious.
Prickly pear is one of my favorite fruits and I was extremely satisfied with this on the very first taste.

Posted a similar review on FB too.We have tried a few flavors. This newest addition was AMAZING! Both my wife and I love fig newtons to begin with. This mead is a liquid fig newton surprise. Looking forward to trying Butter Bee and Direwolf. You know your mead making craft. 😋❤️🎉🐝

We ordered Valkyrie's Tears for my wife's birthday, not knowing what to expect from a flavored mead. The fruitiness is bright, almost liqueur-like, with a mead finish that we found delightful, if hard to categorize. It exceeded our expectations, arrived quickly, and we look forward to our next order.

I've never had before until I had this each one is better then the last, I really recommend trying it yourself to experience the flavors.

My order was shipped expeditiously. The mead is delicious.
So GLAD I ordered the Variety pack. I ENJOYED & shared. My FAVORITES are the Nectarine & guava based

We bought 6 varieties of mead, and this was hands down the favorite for us. This company makes delicious products! We will definitely be ordering from them again.

When we opened this bottle we were shredding Gruyere cheese for a souffle. There was a bit of cheese left to snack on, and I HIGHLY recommend this mead to go with it. Our first order from Batch Mead included six different varieties, and this one is definitely a favorite.

Decided to try this on a whim and couldn't be more thrilled - the mead is amazing, and I'll definitely be ordering more.

This mead is delicious and authentic! I've been looking for such a product for a long time, and now I have certainly found it! I give it the highest recommendation!

This bottle seemed to hit all the marks with balance and flavor. Most definitely could consider it the flavor of the month. Nice job on this one for sure!
If you are into fig flavors but not too heavily fruited, this bottle is for you.
Consistency was right there and its flavor profiles. A must have to any collection.

Everything You Mead to Know
What is Mead?
Mead is alcohol made from honey, water & yeast. We focus on small batches with local honey & REAL fruit. We only ferment the honey (not the fruit) to ensure all alcohol is coming from honey.
YES, Vikings did drink mead.
How Do You Drink & Store Mead?
Mead can be enjoyed at 45 degrees (refrigerator temp) or served at room temp when it's not sparkling. You're welcome to mix spirits, ice or mixers - but we prefer it STRAIGHT.
To store your mead, we recommend keeping it in a cool, dry place, like a wine fridge, or a closet, where temperatures don't change and sunlight isn't hitting the bottle. Once opened mead is best enjoyed in 1-3 days, kept in fridge with bottle stopper, otherwise carbonation starts to slip out.
Otherwise like wine, mead can age, although we like to enjoy within a year.
How Does Shipping Work?
We ship to 42 states in the U.S. Alaska & Hawaii have higher shipping costs due to the voyage.
By law alcohol requires a signature of someone 21+. You can see our shipping policy here.
At this time we do not ship to CT, NJ, SD, UT, AR, MS, DE, AL.
