I love a good sweet wine (I'm typically an eiswein and moscato enthusiast, though I have enjoyed mead a number of times in the past) and this sounded interesting given its many reviews of wonderful smoothness and layers of flavors. However, the punch of honey was SO overwhelming any other flavor notes (the butterscotch and vanilla) were completely buried. There was also an unpleasant bitterness on the finish which was borderline medicinal. I would be willing to possibly give "Golden Butter Bee" a second try if we ever visit Batch Mead in person (maybe something went amiss with it being shipped cross-country), but overall my husband and I were unimpressed.

I am allergic to wine ( don’t know what causes the hives), I thought I would try this. I love the taste of honey! This was amazing! I just wish the bottles were a little bigger but I understand why they are not. I will absolutely be ordering more! This Swedish heritage gal loves this Viking beverage!!!

Mix honey with a splash of alcohol .. from Odin !! Beyond good 👍
